Before and After: By Design EM Photo Showcase
Dark and Dated. The layout was not bad but the dark cabinets and dated tile made the space feel even smaller than it was.
The Stove and Refrigerator wall did not extend the full length making it less functional.
The new layout used the full range and refrigerator wall. Cabinets now extend to the ceiling for added storage and to make the room appear larger.
Creating more space on either side of the range allows for increased storage and function. A space for the microwave is also allotted. Full height splash adds interest to the overall design.
Our customer wanted an "Up North" vibe but modern and clean with white and natural light wood tones being the dominant design elements. Wood shelves keep the space feeling open. Black hardware and fixtures add contrast.
Our clients wanted to add more counterspace by removing the top mount sink. We also wanted to update the rustic look.
The remodel also expanded the overall space to accommodate a larger and taller shower. The home is a rustic chalet so we kept with the rustic look just updated it with cleaner lines and finishes.
The end result! Larger shower with tile and matte black finishes for the hardware and plumbing fixtures.
